Description

The Goodman GSZ130311 is an energy-efficient outdoor air conditioner and heat pump for a split system installation. This outdoor component needs to be connected with an indoor air handler or an electric furnace to create a complete air conditioning system. This allows for many options for personalizing an HVAC system, which can be altered depending on desired energy-efficiency, cost, installation type and other factors.

This model with heat pump is capable of up to 13 SEER when paired with the correct components. Specific ratings will depend in the indoor air handler or furnace used and must be installed with a bi-flow thermostatic expansion valve. This Goodman condenser features a 2.5 ton heating and cooling capacity with 30,000 BTU. It's usually recommended that the tonnage of the outdoor condenser be less than the indoor unit.

The GSZ13LL line of split system air conditioners with long line sets uses a high-efficiency scroll compressor with high and low pressure switches. It uses the environmentally friendly R-410A chlorine-free refrigerant for cooling. This Goodman condenser is reliably constructed and protected by a heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet with an attractive architectural gray powder-paint finish that provides top and side maintenance access.

This split system heat pump uses SmartShift technology to guarantee reliable defrosting in the coldest months. Goodman has also packaged this model to have a bi-flow liquid line filter drier and piston assembly that need to be field-installed. It also includes the following factory-installed components:
