The Freedom 80 furnace has models that can be found in American Standard's Silver Series, Gold and Platinum series. This furnace offers up to 80 percent AFUE and can be either a single-stage, two-stage or variable-speed gas-fired furnace.

The Freedom 80 is manufactured in a variety of 2- to 5-ton units with heating capacities ranging from 32,000 to 113,000 BTU/H. The series can be configured in upflow/horizontal or downflow/horizontal positions.

This model features a multi-speed blower motor for quiet, efficient operation and an insulated steel cabinet for increased unit protection and heat retention. Additional components include increased humidity control (with select models), induced draft venting, a silicon nitride hot surface igniter, in-shot burners, a self-diagnostic control system and an aluminized heat exchanger.
